Nine-Month Conservatory
The
Nine Month Conservatory was created to speak to the needs of
a very specific group of actors: those who are exceptional,
relatively experienced, committed, and who are ready to make
a quantum leap in their artistic development.
The program has been carefully designed to develop each actor’s
physical, emotional and imaginative resources and bring them
to bear on an individualized work process. The goal: to become
an actor who is free of tension, emotionally available through
breathing and vocal expression, responsive to the actions of
the fellow actors, and able to give himself over to the imaginary
world of the play.

Second Year Conservatory
The
2nd Year Conservatory is a continuation of the Nine Month Program
and was designed to give our most advanced students the opportunity
to take their training to the final level.
Whereas the first year of study is all about acquiring the foundational
skills needed for a lifetime in the theater, the second year
builds upon those skills and gives students the opportunity
to put them to practice in real life performance situations.
Over the year, students will participate in a demanding curriculum
consisting of a full schedule of studio classes coupled with
the demands of rehearsing and performing in four fully produced
productions. The program is specifically designed to help students
develop their endurance and to acquire the experience they need
to enter the world as professional actors.
The 2nd Year Conservatory is open only to those students who
have successfully completed the Nine Month Conservatory.

Classes & Workshops
Maybe
a little intro about classes here.
Scene Study / Jayd McCarty
This
class focuses on dramatic structure and character intentions
from the author’s point of view, and the actor’s responsibility
of realizing that character through transformation of the self.
Physical Theater & Clown / Lucas
Rooney
Based on a series of exercises designed
by Christopher Bayes, this class aims to aid the actors in the
pursuit of wonder, despair, joy, and tragedy.
Lucid Body Technique / Fay Simpson
The Lucid Body is a physical acting technique
based on the exploration of the seven-chakra centers. Through
movement, voice and improvisation, these exercises will reveal
the buttons that get in the way of your acting, and will expand
your sensitivity to the emotional needs of your characters.
Monologue Workshop / Jayd McCarty
While many actors, through their training,
have acquired the necessary skills to act well, more than a
few feel unable to translate those skills to an audition situation.
Auditioning is its own skill... the same, but different.
Lucid Shakespeare Workshop / Fay Simpson and Joseph Siravo
This 6 week workshop will explore the
fusion of the Lucid Body process with a clear and direct expression
of Shakespeare's text. co-taught by Lucid Body founder, Fay
Simpson and veteran stage & screen actor Joseph Siravo.
Shakespear's Toolkit / Rob Clare
One of the world's preeminent Shakespeare authorities brings
his unparalleled teaching skills to survey a range of Shakespearean
texts, and differing approaches to those texts with special
attention given to working with verse.
